Using the TEACCH Autism model, our experienced staff assist individuals to develop the skills they need to become more independent. These could be reading, writing and social skills, learning about health and safety, or life skills, such as budgeting. Each individual takes part in the development of their own person-centred plan – so that they are fully involved in decisions about their support.

Our team works closely with families and external providers, including speech and language therapy, psychology, GPs, colleges and leisure services to offer holistic support. Within our services, people with autism can express themselves without fear or hindrance and learn how to become an equal and valued citizen.

“My independence has grown and I have been able to cope with doing nearly everything with very little support, I think it has also helped having a good support team.”

“A budget sheet helps me; I’ve saved £250 and spent it on horse riding items. I go to the counter and pay for things myself. I’ve got friends here, amazing staff that help me a lot, I go out with staff and that helps me.”
