Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee

Our staff and the people we support have all very much enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Here are some photos showing how the different services got involved.

Community Support

People in their own tenancies across Barnsley and Wakefield decorated their homes with bunting and flags. Everyone was invited to a garden party at Highgate Court and the Community Allotment in Barnsley. The sun shone and people enjoyed great food, games, entertainment and stalls.

Jubilee Court

The team at Jubilee Court in Sutton-in-Ashfield held a party out the front of the home. Staff, residents, families and friends all enjoyed sunshine, games, food and a spot of Union Jack chalk painting.

Shaftsbury House

People at Shaftsbury House in Barnsley partied to Jason’s tunes and enjoyed a fantastic buffet tea. As you can see from the photos, there was lots of dancing and good times.

St Margaret’s Care Home

Staff at St Margaret’s Care Home in Grimsby organised two weeks of Jubilee celebrations! Activities included reminiscence sessions, listening to old time music, an afternoon tea party, a picture poster competition, Jubilee quiz, Royal bingo, a party buffet with fizz and beer and enjoying tv coverage of the event.

Tapton Grove

Residents and staff at Tapton Grove in Chesterfield celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a tea party in their beautiful grounds. Everywhere looked fantastic with bunting, flags and balloons.

Thank you

We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our staff who have once again done everyone proud organising such wonderful events. They really do go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time and experiences a party to remember.
